Donji Lađevac is a small village in central Croatia, located in the municipality of Rakovica, in Karlovac County. It is located along the state road D1, on the road between Karlovac and Slunj, and relatively close to Plitvice Lakes, one of the most famous Croatian national parks. Because of this location, the area is often a passing point for tourists. The area is hilly and forested. It is surrounded by meadows, forests and small farms. The climate is moderately continental - winters are cold and summers are warm. Recently, some of the residents have also participated in tourism (renting rooms and holiday homes).
