Sport and nature

Pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths and mountain climbs are the best tourist guides of this region, which offer their visitors not only a stay in nature, but also a walk through the rich history of ten thousand years. For visitors with an adventurous spirit, the Opatija Riviera offers many opportunities for exploration - numerous bicycle paths on Učka and a number of pedestrian walkways connect the sea and the peaks of the highest Kvarner mountain, and are an ideal opportunity to get to know local historical and natural sights. The highest Kvarner mountain also offers other forms of active vacation - such as horseback riding or speleology, and is a particularly interesting destination for fans of extreme sports disciplines.
