Hvar, Poljica, land intended for sports-recreational (health) center.

The total area of the land designated for investment is 114,320 m², approximately 1200 m away from the sea, located west of the village of Poljica, 12 kilometers from Jelsa on the island of Hvar, which has been declared one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world, adding additional value to this project.

The land is owned by one person. The location is proposed for sports-health recreational tourism in the spatial plan proposal of the Municipality of Jelsa. The functioning of such a constructed space is much broader than conventional apartment or hotel settlements, as there is the possibility of year-round use alongside the usual form of tourist offer in the summer period. Summer tourism on the Adriatic lasts shortly (the season lasts a maximum of three months), and this way would extend the utilization period of facilities throughout the year.

A similar purpose does not exist at the level of this municipality or on the entire island. The area of the village of Poljica, according to the health examination estimation (Research Project by the United Nations (FAO)), is the healthiest area for living on the island. Additionally, the island of Hvar is the sunniest island in the Adriatic. There is also a growing interest in alternative healing techniques and assistance to humans, and in the elaboration of a detailed plan, it is recommended to mention precisely that type of offer. In Europe, such things are already a reality because there is much greater utilization of existing capacities, which satisfy broader possibilities. The expansion of the road to the eastern part of the island began in mid-2012, and the construction of a central water supply is planned. The electricity situation is such that the main 10 kV power line to the eastern part of the island passes over the plot, so that infrastructure need is also met. In parallel with the expansion of the road to Poljica, a new high-voltage power cable is planned.
